The Ohio Arts Council supports artists and organizations in a wide range of activities. Its grant programs are described in the . Funding for organizations includes support of projects in dance, design arts, literature, music and theatre. OAC funding for universities gives priority to projects that involve the community and receive matching support from outside of the university.
The Ohio Humanities Council offers grants to support humanities projects. The grants programs are described in the Ohio Humanities Council guidelines. Funding is awarded in three types of grants: major funding, regular funding, and minigrants with varying award amounts.
